Channel Master 6510 Transistor Radio (1960)

This is exactly like my Mom's kitchen radio, which sat on top of the refrigerator during my high school years.

My bedroom was directly above the kitchen, and they were connected with an open air vent for heating, so as soon as my Mom turned on the radio and tuned to the Boone and Erickson show on WCC0 830 AM, I knew it was time to get out of bed.

This six-transistor radio operates on D-cell flashlight batteries. Between the knobs is a tone control to switch between High or Low tone.

My Mom's radio is still sitting safely in my parent's house. I found this one for $20 at a second-hand store.
