Crosley Model 11-105U Plastic Radio (1951)

This photo is provided courtesy of Pete Liekkio, a fellow collector in Seattle. In the early 1950s, Crosley produced several radios with styling similar to auto designs of the time. With its bullseye grille and side fins, this one has a lot in common with auto dashboards. The light green color is unusual, too.

Along with the Fada 1000 "Bullet" and a few others, this set is one of the most recognizable of all collectible plastic radios.

Several years after first posting this page, I bought a Crosley 11-105U of my own, in the darker green shade.
